Monday - Friday 8.45 - 3.15 termtime only, job share
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant who can join our staff team to support a mainstream Year 2 pupil with ASD, who finds learning in the classroom a challenge.
We are looking for someone who;
· can provide high quality support
· can work effectively with a range of colleagues and enjoys being part of a team
· can provide calm and consistent support for children
· is committed to inclusion and has a good understanding of supporting children with autism
· can build strong professional relationships with the child and the family
· can adapt work to the needs of the child
· has good organisational skills
· has knowledge of behavioural skills
· has good literacy, maths and ICT skills
· has the ability to communicate with parents and outside agencies
Responsibilities:
· Supporting 1:1 and small groups
· Monitoring behaviour and working in line with ECHP
· Covering outdoor times (playtimes and lunchtimes)
· Communicating with parents
· Adapting work to suit the pupils needs, ability and learning preference
