Orsett Heath Academy is a brand-new secondary school opening in Thurrock in September 2020. It is part of South West Essex Community Education Trust and will work in partnership with the neighbouring William Edwards School.

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to join the all new Orsett Heath Academy. The school will open in temporary accommodation in September 2020 as a 4 form new start secondary school and then move the new-build permanent location in September 2022 with 8 forms of entry.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in establishing the ethos of the new school and to embed a range of curriculum activities both in and out of class. You will have an initial focus on Year 7 and then other year groups year-on-year as the school grows and as part of the cross curricular approach.

You will be:
· Committed to the Trust's vision and values
· An outstanding teaching practitioner
· Able to teach a variety of subject areas
· Primary trained and/or experience of primary teaching
· Able to play a key role in Year 6 to 7 transition
· Familiar with a variety of teaching and learning paradigms.
