Catering Manager
Scale 5 (point 8 to 11), actual salary £11,139 to £11,821
Monday to Friday (25 hours a week), Position start date 1st March 2020
We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Manager to join our friendly school team on a permanent basis at Little Hallingbury.
We are looking to appoint a Catering Manager who has a passion for cooking and providing high quality meals. A self-motivated individual, who enjoys using their own initiative as well as working with others.
Working term time only 25 hours a week, 9.00am to 2.00pm.
Ideally you should have Level 3 Food safety Certificate, have experience of working in a similar environment.
Successful applicants must possess:
· Good literacy and numeracy skills with GCSE Literacy and Numeracy grades A-C
· Be educated to NVQ Level 3 Food Safety or equivalent qualification or experience. Training will be provided if necessary.
· Can ensure the operational efficiency, planning preparation of food and beverages to the required standard within budget limitations as agreed with school management
· Have knowledge of national food standards and allergies
· Have good organisational and interpersonal skills
· Have the ability to work on your own initiative
· Ability to work calmly under pressure
· Be prepared to develop and learn in the role
· An ability to promote the school meal service with parents and children

Little Hallingbury C of E Primary School is a village school situated on the Hertfordshire & Essex border.
