Tendring Primary School is looking to appoint an excellent, positive, solutions focused SENCo/Inclusion Manager to join our team from January 2020. The appointment will be for the equivalent of 2 days a week.
We are looking for applicants with previous experience working as a SENCo and who have already completed the National Award for SEN Coordination. They should also have demonstrated excellent practice when in role as a classroom teacher. However, we will consider applicants who are currently still working towards the National Award or experienced teachers who wish to start this.
You will be part of a forward-thinking, friendly team who put children's learning and well-being at the heart of everything they do. As a result, our pupils are very courteous and respectful to each other. They demonstrate the well-established school values exceptionally well (taken from our March 2019 Good Ofsted report).
We are a small village school but we are outward looking and work closely with a range of schools and groups in order to provide our children and staff with a wealth of experiences, in particular Lyons Hall in Braintree and the Learning Pathways Trust.
We can offer:
- Happy, well-behaved children who are enthusiastic about learning
- Supportive staff, parents and governors
- A welcoming ethos
- Good opportunities for professional development (including OLEVI Improving/Outstanding Teacher Programmes)
- A fantastic outdoor learning environment
We are looking for:
- Enthusiasm, commitment and high expectations of all pupils and themselves
- An experienced teacher with passion, commitment, creativity and skill, combined with a clear understanding of how children learn and make progress
- Excellent teamwork and organisational skills.
- The ability to lead, motivate and inspire others
- A teacher who would like to continue developing their practice
- A positive outlook and flexibility needed for working in a small school.
Interviews will be held on Friday 29 November 2019. For more details, or to visit the school, please contact the school office.
