Teaching Assistant required for the specific role of
Physical and Sensory Impairment
Salary: LGS Band 3W
£13,626 - £16,840
30 hours per week - 39 weeks per year (term time only)
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and supportive Teaching Assistant for the above specialist role.
The successful candidate would be expected to:
- Liaise with specialist teacher, outside agencies, teachers, parents/carers andstudents in Area of Need
- Assist with the development and implementation of student passports, including One Planning
- To lead internal training and support for TAs and teachers for area of responsibility
- Research, devise and support individualised learning programmes for studentsand supervise students when required
- To support and assist in the transition of students from Key stage 2 and into Post 16 education
- Support students in class and on a 1:1 basis
- Liaise with and report to the SENCo
- Be able and willing to work as a team
- Be able to work under direction and on own initiative
