Assistant Caretaker

Pay Range: Local Government Band 2 Actual starting salary from £13,426 per annum

Start Date: January 2020

The Role

We are seeking an outstanding individual to support the Site team by carrying out a range of duties including security and supervision of the site and related equipment, and other site duties including porterage, cleaning and maintenance.

The position will suit an individual with experience of cleaning and site maintenance

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

· Undertaking cleaning of allocated area(s), and secondary cleaning.

· Carrying out first line repairs and maintenance such as plumbing work e.g.

repairing a leaking pipe, redecoration and plastering work such as repairing cracked or broken plaster.

· Fencing and boundary repairs, e.g. mending broken fencing panels or stakes, repairing holes in chain link fences etc;

· Glazing work, such as replacing smaller windows, re-beading or re-puttying glass panes, internal and external.

We're looking for you if you have the following:

· Experience of cleaning and first line maintenance

· Working knowledge of Health & Safety and security

· Excellent organisational skills

This post is 27.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
