Immediate start - A vacancy has arisen at Grays Convent High School for a part-time Science Technician. The main purpose of the role is to:
· To enable pupils' access to learning by providing technical advice and support in the practical and technical aspects of the curriculum by preparing, maintaining and organising equipment and materials.
· Working with pupils as directed by the Head of Department/teacher, supporting safe and sensible behaviour during practical tasks.
· To provide advice and support to staff and to support the development of the team/department.
Experience of working within a School Science Department and be COSSH and CLEAPPS trained would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided
Flexibility is essential in this role as there may be occasions where events require you to be in school at an earlier or later time.
This is a term time only post and includes non-pupil days. You will be contracted for 35 hours per week. The hours will be Monday to Friday 8.15am-15.45. The post is a Support Staff Band 3 position and the salary range is £14,587-£16,646 per annum.
