About the team

The Student Talent and Recruitment (STAR) Agency is responsible for providing students with high quality support throughout their journey with us. From handling their initial application to supporting their progression when they complete their course, the STAR Agency plays a crucial role providing the very best information, advice and guidance.

About the role

The college administers a bursary fund to assist students with costs relating to attending college. This may include travel costs, uniform, equipment, educational visits and meal costs. Eligibility is assessed according to personal circumstances and the administration of any bursary awards must meet specific criteria.

The key responsibilities of the successful post holder will include:

  • To coordinate and deliver the administration of the college bursary fund and provide guidance for service users and stakeholders.
  • To assist the Student Services Manager in coordinating the day to day activity of the STAR team

What we are looking for

  • Experience of coordinating a client-centred administrative or learning environment
  • An ability to demonstrate a strong attention to detail in working practices
  • Education to level 2 standard including English and Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT skills including a sound knowledge of Excel
  • Proven excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise workloads as well as managing large quantities of information
