Job Title: Teaching Assistant & Midday Assistant - Bardfield Academy

Contract: Fixed Term until 31st August 2020

Grade: Band 2 - Point 3-5 midpoint (£13,211.40 - £13,727.86 dependent on experience and service)

Hours: 31 hours 40 minutes

Start Date: 6th January 2020

Closing Date: Tuesday 5th November 2019 midnight

Interview Date: Week commencing Monday 11th November 2019

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant and Midday Assistant to join our hardworking team on a fixed term basis at Bardfield Academy

We are seeking a self-motivated individual, who enjoys using their own initiative as well as working as part of a team. Working Monday to Thursday from 08:15 a.m. - 15:15 p.m. and 08:15 a.m. - 14:00 p.m. on Friday with a 25 minute lunch every day.

We would be delighted to hear from you if you:

  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills with GCSE Literacy and Numeracy grades A-C.
  • Be educated to NVQ Level 2 in learning support / early years or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Have experience working with a child in a school / early years' environment.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability to overcome communication barriers with children and adults.
  • Understand and support the importance of social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Be adaptable to work within a small specialised team supporting the children of the school with various needs.
  • Have good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Be prepared to develop and learn in the role.
