A vacancy has arisen to join our dedicated team to provide SEND support for a child with an SEN diagnoses.
20 hours a week - 9am until 1pm.
We are a good school and put the children at the heart of Teaching & Learning with a curriculum that seeks to inspire and support children to achieve.
We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistants, for 20 hours a week, with good numeracy and literacy skills to work at our school. The successful candidates will become integral members of our staff team, supporting the Class Teacher, working with an individual child with a specific diagnosis and teaching/supporting groups of children on a daily basis.
The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
The ability to communicate with other members of staff, especially the classteacher and SENCo.
The ability to build a strong professional relationship with the child and the family.
A willingness to adapt planning to the needs of the child where applicable to ensure there is progress.
Have good knowledge and or experience of SEND.
Good behaviour management skills.
Have good maths and literacy skills and some ICT skills to ensure assessments are updated and progress recorded to meet given deadlines.
The ability to communicate with parents and outside agencies and to attend professional meetings where required.
