Are you looking to join a supportive team and help provide the best meals for our children?
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Cook who will lovingly prepare nutritionally balanced meals everyday to the children we serve in our school community. We are looking for someone who has the drive and determination to join our supportive team.
The role is offered ona permanent basis over 11 hours per week - Monday to Friday, during term time. Subject to the applicant's eligibility to work in the UK and a successful DBS clearance.
You will work closely with the school and Essex CC to ensure the children receive a nutritionally balanced meal every day.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Ensure an excellent standard of presentation and service is given.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained at all times.
Prepare food using fresh ingredients.
Ensure all team members are working in line with current legislation at all times.
Be responsible for the cleaning and maintaining of the kitchen and facilities to include all aspects of Health and Safety.
DBS Check will be required.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous Catering experience within a similar environment.
Food Hygiene Level 3 (or willing to take it-online)
Ability to work on your own initiative and willingness to be trained as Cook in the event of their absence.
