Legra Academy Trust provides high quality, high impact early years, primary and secondary education in Essex. Working together, we make a huge impact on the lives and education of both our young people and staff. We are committed to providing professional development for both our staff and governors, in order to achieve sustainable improvement.

In this role you will be assigned to an individual student and will have experience in personal care, support and developing motor skills, along with working to plans set out by an Occupational Therapist. You will have a strong commitment to inclusive education, have had some experience of, or training in, learning strategies, and have the ability to supervise and support the teaching activities of individuals or groups of young people. The role will include meeting a range of needs of individuals and groups of students both in the classroom and by working with external agencies.

Ideally you will be a graduate with excellent numeracy and literacy skills. You will be approachable, resilient and able to support our vulnerable students, as well as our most able. You will need to have a firm but fair approach as well as a commitment to support the Trust. Part of your role will be to encourage our students to become independent learners and, if you are interested in having a career in teaching, you will gain experience and training to prepare you for this.

The Trust offers great opportunities for career development and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and therefore this post will require an enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
