Admin Assistant

Level 5 SCP 7-12 - Actual starting salary £ 12,821.21 to £ 14,155.53 per annum

Working 27.5 hours per week, Term time plus 1 week in the holidays

Working Hours 8.15 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. Monday to Friday

Expected start date 1st September 2019

To support the development of our leadership team at Hamstel Infant School and Nursery, we are seeking to appoint an Office Administrator to join us on our ongoing journey for continued school improvement.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, highly organised, professional and flexible. They will have at least 6 months' experience in working in an office environment using computerized systems. Experience of working within a school would also be desirable but not essential.

The main scope of the job will be:

· To be responsible for pupil attendance administration for the school in order to exceed targets set by LA and Ofsted.

· To be responsible for the administration of school meals for children and adults.

To undertake various administrative and financial duties to ensure that the schools needs are met and public relations are enhanced.
To provide a support service to the headteacher, teachers and the school.
To maintain an ethos in which individuals feel valued and where personal endeavour and responsibility are fostered.
To maintain high morale and to set an example of high quality performance in standards, leadership and management.
To provide front of house, first contact welcome to all visitors.
To administer first aid and prescribed medicines to pupils.
