The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is looking to appoint a Facilities and Estates Manager. The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is an emerging Multi-Academy Trust based in Springfield, Chelmsford with 7 schools across central and west Essex. This role has been created as a result of the expansion of the trust and this role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the operational effectiveness of our schools.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to provide leadership of all the facilities management functions across the trust as well as ensuring that there is a planned programme of maintenance and development of our buildings, estates and facilities. The role will also involve the successful candidate delivering a consistent and highly effective approach to health and safety across all the schools in the trust as well as compliance with all statutory aspects of health and safety law, adopting a principle of 'best practice'.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work independently whilst, at the same time, be able to form effective relationships with school staff, trust staff, governors and trustees. They will also have experience in some of the following areas: project management, strategic planning, risk management, buildings or facilities management.

Applicants should also be aware that, due to the geographical locations of all of the trust's estates, it is a pre-requisite of this job that the successful candidate is not banned from driving and has access to their own car. Mileage will be able to be claimed in line with the trust's Financial Regulations.

The Chelmsford Learning Partnership (CLP) is an emerging multi-academy trust based in Springfield, Chelmsford. The trust was formerly known as The Boswells Academy Trust but changed name in late 2017 to reflect the growth of the trust beyond one school. There are currently 8 schools across Essex in the CLP multi academy trust.

The schools in the CLP are: Barnes Farm Infant School, Barnes Farm Junior School, Lakelands Primary School, Perryfields Infant School, Roding Valley High School, The Beaulieu Park School, The Boswells School and The Tyrrells Primary School.
