Our recently inspected Good school is seeking two caring LSAs to support two children, one in year 2 and one in year 4.
The KS1 child has been diagnosed with Autism and struggles to manage in class for extended periods. With the right support he can access learning but on an individualised program. He responds well to visuals and is working approximately 3 years behind his chronological age. He needs support with speech and language, to access the curriculum and also to develop stronger relationships with his peers. Hours are 8.50 - 3.10, 5 days a week.
The KS2 child is diagnosed with ADHD is currently on a reduced timetable. We are looking to increase his hours as he is coping well with a new, highly structured yet flexible approach supported by his EHCP. He is increasingly aware of his emotions and is now regulating himself well. He receives additional support from GROW and the successful candidate will need to travel to the GROW host school once a week. Hours are 8.50 - 3.10, 5 days a week.
Both posts will benefit from the support of a qualified THRIVE practitioner and a super team.
We are looking for applicants who:
· Are highly adaptable and can read situations well
· Resilient
· Team worker
· Experience of working with children with ADHD and / or autism preferable
