The FitzWimarc School is looking to appoint a highly organised, pro-active, self-motivated individual with a professional mindset and effective communication skills to provide full support to the Governing Board. Throughout the academic year, applicants must be able to attend approximately 6 full Board meetings; 9 sub-Committee meetings; and other ad-hoc meetings and events as may reasonably be required. Payment is for hours worked.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organisation, communication and IT skills and outstanding literacy skills. They will also have the ability to work accurately, under time constraints and, occasionally, under pressure. In addition they will have high levels of personal integrity and an ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. They will ensure the smooth running of meetings - preparing meeting agendas and papers; circulating them in advance of meetings; taking accurate minutes; advising Chair / Vice Chair / Directors on administrative / legal considerations where appropriate. They will provide full administrative support to the Governing Board. There will also be a requirement for the successful candidate to undertake Company Secretary duties, in terms of statutory documentary filings and maintenance of Director details, with Companies House, aswell as compliance with company and charity law. Training will be provided for both the Clerk and Company Secretary roles.
