Part Time SITE Assistant

15 hours per week (Term time plus 2 weeks during school holidays)

Full Time: £17,828-£19,275) Thurrock Pay Scale (Pt 1-5)

Actual Salary £6,487-£7,014

(Salary negotiable dependent on experience)

We are seeking a part time Site Assistant for our busy, friendly school. The successful applicant will be supported by the Site Manager and School Business Manager in keeping our school buildings and grounds safe, smart, compliant and fit for providing a high quality education for our pupils. The hours of work will be agreed locally, and may include some occasional unsociable hours for lettings and emergencies, for which overtime will be paid.

Duties will include:

· Replenishing stock

· Manual handling of deliveries, checking them off and reporting any shortfall

· Minor repairs to equipment and buildings

· Decorating

· Liaising with contractors

· Litter picking

· Cleaning

· Keeping the outside area tidy including sweeping and minor gardening

Experience of a similar role within a school will be an advantage, but is not essential as training will be given for the right candidate.
