(12 month fixed-term contract)

Hours: 8.30am - 3.45pm

Hereward Primary School is a successful and friendly school located in Loughton in the Epping Forest region of Essex. We are a member of the Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust, which was formed in 2018 consisting of a number of local schools. We have the highest expectations and aspirations for all our pupils.

We currently have a vacancy for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and hard-working team. The successful candidate will cover PPA time and classes as and when needed. They will work with class teachers to ensure that children are encouraged to complete work to the best of their ability and taught within a climate of mutual respect and engagement with learning.

Relevant training will be given. The successful candidate will need to have a strong commitment to inclusion in order to become part of our committed and enthusiastic team.

Early Years Foundation Stage Intent Statement

In the Early Years, we aim to provide each child with the best possible start to their school journey. Through a calculated balance between child-led learning and adult input, we provide each child the opportunity to develop within their unique experience, interests and needs. We break our planning down to meet targeted objectives and provide an environment that allows children to explore, learn, and consolidate knowledge and skills . Along with our SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training), School Improvement Team, Well-being Service, and Resourced Provisions based in three of our schools, we are a leading educational organisation in Epping Forest.

EFSPT was formed in 2018 from a consortium of schools that had worked together for over 20 years and are committed to collaborative working to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children and school communities.
