Sixth Form Pastoral Manager

Band 4 Point 19-24 on the new April 19 pay bands

37 hours per week, term time plus inset days and 3 weeks during the school holidays.

£24,799 to £27,905 pro rata plus £609 Outer London fringe allowance

Actual salary £23,244 to £26,304.

Required for September 2019. We are seeking to appoint a well-organised, enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated sixth form team all of whom play a major part, working together to support our students.

We are seeking a colleague who has:

Experience in a secondary pastoral role working with a diverse range of young people, preferably at Sixth Form level. As well as overseeing student wellbeing, you will need to understand the demands of Sixth Form academic study, UCAS, work and apprenticeship applications.
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to deal with sensitive issues.
The ability to balance student support with excellent student expectations and management.
Excellent planning, administrative and organisational skills.
Ability to work proactively and independently and as part of a team
Oversee student study rooms, ensuring that a purposeful working environment is maintained
