We have an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and dedicated English specialist to join our highly committed, hard-working and experienced English department. The position is suitable for an outstanding English teacher who enjoys teaching all secondary age groups, the ability to teach at KS5 and A level would be an advantage. English teachers with the potential to lead and develop others are invited to apply as are NQT's.

Staff morale is high at our school; we have an excellent induction programme and a commitment to professional development for all staff. All teaching staff are provided with a laptop.

Our English department is well resourced and you will have access to a range of exciting activities and initiatives. The successful candidate will want to bring their passion and enthusiasm for English to encourage, motivate and engage our students and continue to raise standards in this high performing department.

Our oversubscribed school achieved a 'GOOD' rating in its Ofsted inspection in February 2017 and we have a commitment to supporting students in developing as well-rounded individuals as well as achieving their academic potential.

Great Baddow High School is a happy and successful 11-18 school benefitting from a large site and excellent specialist accommodation.

Our curriculum is broad and varied and provides opportunities for all learners to achieve; we pride ourselves on balancing modern approaches and technologies with traditional values.

A large proportion of our students stay on to join the sixth form and are joined by students from elsewhere. We have a very good sixth form centre and our sixth formers make a valuable contribution to the life of the school.
