As a small but growing school, in September we are planning to expand from 3 classes to 4 by splitting our current Reception / Y1 / Y2 class into a Reception class plus a Y1/2 class in the mornings. We are therefore looking for a teacher who would be interested in teaching a class of around 14 Y1 and 2 children in the mornings, then covering in other classes in the afternoon. Depending on your interests, and the curriculum specialisms you have or would like to develop, the subjects taught in the afternoon are up for negotiation! Some afternoons, you will teach the mixed R/1/2 class; others will be for your own PPA and/or NQT time, remaining afternoons will be spent teaching our Y5/6 class. Complicated, I know! This is a post that would suit an NQT, particularly one who is looking to develop their experience of the primary range; someone who is looking to make a return to teaching, or possibly two candidates looking for a job-share. This is a temporary post for one year initially but, if numbers continue to grow, may well lead to a permananet position.
If you are:
- someone with enthusiasm, dedication, a commitment to learning and a passion for doing the best for all children
- a qualified teacher, new to the profession or with experience
- keen to be part of a team, working across the whole school in classes of 25 or below
We are:
- a small, friendly, supportive team
- a school full of well-behaved children who enjoy learning and make the most ofopportunitiesoffered
- a school with a commitment to your professional development
- part of a Consortium of 24 schools who share good practice, mentoring and peer reviews
If you think we might be a match, you would be very welcome to come and visit our school - please contact the school office on 01206 210415.
