Are you an Engineer? We're looking for you!

Are you looking to boost your current salary with an additional Income?

Maybe you're looking to transition into teaching?

Our successful college at Stansted Airport opened in September 2018.

The College is a partnership between London Stansted Airport and Harlow College - the first of its kind at any airport in the country. The centre has purpose built, industry standard facilities providing training for over 500 young people per year.

Do you want to become part of this truly exciting project and help to train the next generation of Engineers?

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and talented Engineers to join our team at Stansted Airport College. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation by working in Further Education. Working in a vibrant and positive learning environment, you will play a key role in preparing, planning, co-ordinating, assessing and delivering both theory and practical sessions to our Aeronautical Engineering Trainees.

We are looking for engineers that have an area of expertise in:

Aeronautical Engineering
Aircraft Mechanical and systems
Mathematics for Engineers
Electronics and Avionics
Aerodynamics
Maintaining gas turbine engines and propellers
General Electrical Engineering applications
Maintaining aircraft structures
Micro controller systems

You may have an Aircraft maintenance licence or a degree in Aeronautical Engineering qualification or equivalent, however you don't need to have a qualification in teaching, just a passion for your specialism, strong communication skills and be willing to train on the job, as we will support staff to undertake a teaching or assessing qualification, if not already held.

Our full time teaching staff normally teach up to 24 hours per week during term time. However, we have the flexibility to work around your current shift patterns if required on a short term basis to transition into teaching. We are offering full time, part time, evening and weekend work.

The successful candidate can expect investment in their personal and professional development as well as an excellent benefits package including 42 days annual leave plus bank holidays and an excellent Pension Scheme (Teachers' Pension Scheme). Salary on application.

Still unsure if this is the right role for you?

Contact Wendy Martin on 07539 348 736 for an informal discussion. We may be able to offer evening/weekend working whilst remaining in your current role.

Closing Date: 15th May 2019

Interviews: 23rd May 2019 - there can be flexibility on this date

If you are looking to work within a fast paced organisation whereby we believe all our people, both staff and students, have the potential to succeed in whatever they set their minds to then this is the role for you. This college is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
