We are seeking a dynamic, flexible and enthusiastic teacher to carry on the excellent work within English across KS3 and KS4 whilst the post holder is on maternity leave. Experience of working with SEN pupils is essential.

The role includes:

  • Teaching English across the school, with the potential for curriculum leadership
  • Pastoral responsibility which could include form tutor role
  • Engagement with parents and carers including Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) meetings
  • Teaching across KS3-4

Information about the School

Kingswode Hoe is a special school for pupils with complex learning difficulties. We take pupils aged between 5 and 16 (Y1 - Y11) living in the Colchester area. All pupils are admitted to the school by the Statutory Assessment team of Essex Local Authority based at Essex House in Colchester. We are currently funded for 151 places.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
