TEACHERS REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2019
Come and work in our special school Multi-Academy Trust
A chance to work in one of four special schools in Southend and be part of a very special group of staff, working together to meet the needs of a very special, ever growing group of pupils.
The St. Christopher School - requires 2 primary teachers for mixed Key Stage 2 aged pupils
St. Nicholas School - requires 3 secondary teachers, but primary trained may be suitable
Lancaster School - requires 2 secondary teachers, but primary trained may be suitable.
Jobs may be suitable for NQTs, the right attitude and ability to work with our pupils is most important. Training and support will be given for all candidates
The interview process will involve:
· Joint formal interviews with the Leadership Teams of the MAT
· Time to spend in the schools to consider which school you think you have the skills for (visits to at least 2 schools).
· A chance to state your preference and reasons why you think you have the right skills, abilities and 'fit' for the school.
As a Trust we are committed to ensuring the welfare and safeguarding of all pupils. All staff will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Closing date for applications: Thursday 2nd May 2019
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to visit at least 2 schools and spend time in the classroom which may include teaching activities. Visits will take place on Tuesday 7th May. Formal interviews will take place on Thursday 9th May. Final decisions will be made with job offers in plenty of time for the 31st May deadline.

Information about the School
The St. Christopher School is a specialist special school for Communication & Interaction for pupils aged 3 - 19. We work with a wide range of pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, communication & interaction difficulties and range of learning difficulties. The school is part of SEN Trust Southend.
SEN Trust Southend opened as a formal partnership on 1 September 2017. The four special schools, The St. Christopher School, Kingsdown School, Lancaster School and St. Nicholas School have always worked closely together to create a strong group of special schools which aim to meet the majority of needs of those pupils who require specialist support in a specialist educational school with Southend. We created the Multi-Academy Trust to help us continue this work.
