We require,to start as soon as possible, a 1:1 learning support assistant to work with a child who has a range of medical diagnoses, including ADHD and epilepsy. He is currently in year 4 and this job therefore will be for a fixed term contract, ie until he leaves this school. The hours are likely to be 8.30am until 12.30pm although there is some flexibility with this.
The successful candidate will :
have great communication skills
be flexible and adapt the learning to enable great progress
show tolerance and perserverance
have experience of working in a classroom alongside the teacher, with small groups of children and on a 1:1 basis
be self-motivated, resilient, organised and able to work using own initiative
be a positive team player with a good sense of humour
This position is vacant now and an immediate start would be an advantage although not essential.
