The Boswells School is looking to appoint a talented, forward thinking and innovative Key Stage 5 Mathematics Co-ordinator.
This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring Mathematics teacher and aspiring leader to work in a vibrant Faculty containing a Head of Faculty, Deputy Head of Faculty and Key Stages 3 and 4 Co-ordinators, Lead Practitioner responsible for teaching and learning, Lead Practitioner with whole school responsibility, and specialist Mathematics teachers. You will be leading on raising achievement at Key Stage 5, building on a track record of success over a number of years. Mathematics is a very popular choice and in both Year 12 and Year 13 we have two classes studying Mathematics A-level and one class studying both Mathematics and Further Mathematics A-levels. There will be an opportunity to teach at all levels including at A-level. You will be joining a school with enthusiastic and dedicated leaders at all levels and a real commitment to the professional development of staff.
The Boswells School is an 11-18, very successful, popular and oversubscribed school of 1500 students in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, Essex. The school has a long standing reputation for achieving high levels of academic excellence. Our results at GCSE and A Level make us one of the highest performing non-selective secondary schools in Essex. Indeed, at A Level, 68% of all grades last year were A* - B and 93% A* - C, putting us in the top 10% of schools nationally.
The school was judged to be 'Good' in all areas by OFSTED in February 2017 and this role is crucial to the continued progress of the school towards outstanding.
