Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Following the appointment of a new Headteacher in January 2019, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Headteacher at Rettendon Primary School. We are offering an excellent opportunity for a future leader who has the enthusiasm and potential to drive school improvement. We are seeking an inspirational and forward-thinking individual to build capacity within our senior leadership team and shape the future of Rettendon Primary School. The new Headteacher and Governors are seeking an individual who can bring fresh ideas and experience to our warm, nurturing and caring village school in order to build on recent successes and further improve results.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding practitioner both in the delivery of lessons and in the development of staff across the school.
  • Take a lead on the development and implementation of Rettendon's mixed aged Curriculum, both Teaching and Learning and Assessment.
  • Form, develop and maintain parental and community engagement so the whole school community continues to flourish.
  • Be outward-facing, working to build strong links with local primary and secondary schools to ensure standards continue to improve.
  • Ensure pupil progress is above average.
  • Be able to work under pressure to manage timetables and cover, forward planning in order for the school to run effectively and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate integrity at all times.

The school is committed to CPD, so the role is suitable for both experienced leaders as well as those who are looking for progress onto the leadership ladder.

If you think you can bring energy and fresh ideas to this role, then visits to the school are welcome and you should book through Mrs Sloper (Headteacher) by phoning the school office on 01268 732096.
