Band 3 point 6- 11 - Actual Gross Annual Salary (£15,443 - £17,000)

Full Time - 34 Hours Per Week 9.00am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday. 9.00am - 3.30 Friday. (including a 30 minute lunch break) Working weeks: 39 weeks per year

Do you love sport? Have you the ability to teach P.E to children aged 5-11 both outdoors and indoors? Can you communicate well, motivate children to get involved in physical activity, manage children's behaviour effectively and have the desire to be part of the school community? Are you flexible and a team player? Do you have any sports related qualifications?

We are seeking to employ an suitably qualified, enthusiastic, caring and highly motivated sports coach to join our friendly team.

The main responsibilities of this new role will include:

· Plan and deliver PE lessons for children across the school from Year R to Year 6

· To be the subject leader for PE or support the exisiting subject leader

· To assess and evaluate the achievement and progress of pupils

· Develop the range of activities available during break and lunchtime

· Run a range of after school clubs

You will:

· Have a National Level 2 qualification or higher in at least one sport.

· Have excellent standards of behaviour management and class control

Candidates will be asked to teach a P.E session to a class of children as part of the recruitment process.

West Horndon Primary School is a welcoming, warm and friendly primary school. We are located just outside Brentwood in Essex. We also have a 20 pupil Enhanced Provision for children with speech and language difficulties.
