GLC Tilbury Pioneer Academy is part of the larger Gateway Learning Community (GLC): a partnership of local primary and secondary schools committed to working together to achieve the highest educational standards for the whole community and is a friendly school that values teamwork and high achievement in all areas of our work with young people.

We are looking for an inspiring SENCo who is passionate about children and expect the highest possible standards to support them. Our new SENCo will lead a committed and hardworking team who strive to provide the best education and outcomes for all children. Previous SENCo experience is preferable, but full training would be given to an outstanding candidate with good teaching experience. National accreditation is preferable, candidates without this qualification would be supported to obtain it within two years.

This role will focus on the progress of our SEND students, supporting teachers to ensure they make or exceed expected progress. The SENCo will also assume responsibility for the day-to-day provision made for the students, liaising with external agencies, the Local Authority and other key personnel in school as appropriate. This role is fully supported by the group SENCo and in collaboration with other GLC SEND Coordinators.

If you are determined, ambitious and excited about all students succeeding and learning, we would like to hear from you.
