Learning Support Assistant
Permanent Position
We are seeking to appoint a permanent Learning Support Assistant for 37 hours per week, to start as soon as possible. Pay scale is Band 2: Point 12-16.
The role will involve supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including learning needs and physical disabilities, both in the classroom and principally in facilitating structured withdrawal intervention sessions. The principal focus of the role is to support pupils with communication and interaction needs, such as ASD. The post would be particularly suitable for candidates with prior experience in this area.
The successful applicant will join a strong and experienced team, committed to supporting pupils towards independence. Our Learning Development area has recently been re-developed, to provide a working space suitable for 1-1 and group interventions, as well as a new staff working area.

Welcome to The Sweyne Park School, we are a larger than average mixed, 11-18 comprehensive school. The School became an academy on 1st April 2013 and opened its Sixth Form in September 2014.
