This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced subject specialist to work as part of the team delivering the Maths GCSE curriculum and preparing for GCSE examinations. We offer an alternative curriculum tailored for disaffected KS4 students including Maths, English, Media and ICT. The successful candidate will be resilient and resourceful with the ability to deal with challenging situations in a calm non-confrontational manner and be prepared to adapt and change strategies in a constantly changing classroom. The benefits of teaching small groups compensate for the general disaffection of our students who have previously struggled to cope in a mainstream environment.
This is a unique opportunity to join a successful school delivering a full GCSE qualification in a genuinely alternative environment.
We have a strong support team and the successful candidate will be able to lead this subject with a range of resources and learning support workers at his/her disposal. A first degree is required. QTS is essential.
Closing date: 31st January 2019
Interview date: 12th February 2019
