Are you passionate about your subject/s and about how to engage young people so they achieve their very best? Are you ambitious and do you enjoy working with others to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning in Economics and Business Studies?

We have an exciting opportunity for an excellent teacher to lead this significant subject area. Economics is taught at A Level and Business Studies is taught at KS4 (GCSE and BTEC L2) and KS5 (A Level and BTEC L3). The successful candidate will be expected to teach across this age and ability range including A level and must have proven success across the key stages.

Subjects and departments are well resourced and you will have access to a range of exciting activities and trips. The successful candidate will want to bring their passion and enthusiasm for Economics and Business Studies to encourage, motivate and engage our students and continue to raise standards in these high performing subjects.

Staff morale is high at Great Baddow High School; we have an excellent induction programme and a commitment to professional development for all staff. All teaching staff are provided with a laptop.

Our oversubscribed school achieved a 'GOOD' rating in its Ofsted inspection in February 2017 and we have a commitment to supporting students in developing as well-rounded individuals as well as achieving their academic potential.

Great Baddow High School is a happy and successful 11-18 school benefitting from a large site and excellent specialist accommodation.

Great Baddow High School Specialises in Science and Sport and is a centre of excellence.

We deliver a high quality education in science that challenges and stimulates students. The sciences are popular A Level subjects with many students choosing science-based courses at university. We promote many vocational and enrichment opportunities, including STEM projects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) to enrich learning experiences.

Specialising in sports since 2004, our sports facilities, teaching expertise and extra-curricular provision are outstanding. Our students enjoy sporting success at district and national level and benefit from an exceptional extra-curricular programme although our ethos is centred on participation for all.
