Annual salary Point Band4 - 5 (for administrative staff)

Contract - Term Time plus 2 weeks (37hpw)

Due to the retirement of our much respected Finance Officer, the Headteacher and School Governors would like to appoint an efficient, organised and welcoming School Business Manager who is dedicated to managing and maintaining an effective school office and its financial and administrative systems. You will be part of a team committed to providing an excellent education for the children of St Mary's.

Applications are invited from experienced and newly qualified School Business Managers who have a good understanding of the financial and office management systems of schools.

  • Has demonstrated a clear understanding of how to communicate effectively with parents, children and visitors, staff and governors
  • Has an understanding of all of the relevant financial processes and systems needed in the efficient running of a medium sized primary school
  • Has good experience of using FMS (RM Finance, Integris or similar) and other relevant financial packages to good effect
  • Understands how to actively monitor budgets and data to answer queries and be proactive in ensuring the leadership of the school are kept informed of finance trends and implications
  • Is able to maintain an excellent professional working manner at all times

  • Demonstrates and excellent understanding of the importance of safeguarding and data protection policies and practice
  • Holds a qualification in SBM
  • Is an excellent team player
