£9,187 actual salary per annum 20 hours per week, 42 weeks per year Tendring Technology College is a key member of Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), a multi-Academy sponsor which aims to provide the opportunity for all young learners to fulfil their real potential, broaden their horizons and become active, prosperous and successful citizens in the world around them. Tendring Technology College is a large successful 11-18 mixed Technology Centre, which has two campuses; Frinton Campus (KS4 & KS5 (Sixth form), ages 14-18) and Thorpe Campus (KS3 ages 11-14). This post would suit a skilled and creative engineer/craftsperson who wants to work in an outstanding department.

We are looking for a skilled technician to work 5 days per week, term time and PD Days and three weeks in the school holidays. Daily hours to be agreed with faculty leader. The successful applicant must be able to use a range of machines and equipment used in Design and Technology. You will be required to support students and staff range of subjects including Resistant Materials, Product Design and Systems & Control. We also have the latest CAD facilities including a 3D printer, laser cutters and a range of computer aided machines.

The Technology Department at the College is one of the most successful departments in Essex. This is down to the enthusiasm of the staff which reflects the excellent GCSE and A level results. We have excellent CAD and CAM facilities in all subjects in DT, and the candidate be prepared to show an interest in learning how to operate the CNC machines.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with students and they will be required to instruct students on a range of machines and equipment under the supervision of the DT teacher and curriculum leader and will be required to maintain machines and equipment to meet the Health and Safety regulations and prepare materials for a range of technology subjects.
