We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team to work as a classroom Learning Support Assistant in a Key Stage 1 class. The role is for 15 hours per week for the 38 weeks of term time only.

The working hours are from 9:00 to 12:00 from Monday to Friday. There is also the option for an additional five hours per week from 12:00 to 13:00 each day supporting lunchtimes. This additional five hours would be paid at Band 1 point 10 of the Local Government pay scales, which is £8.74 per hour.

The LSA role involves:

· Working under the guidance of a class teacher to deliver planned learning activities and interventions;

· Promoting and supporting positive behaviour;

· Monitoring and recording pupil progress and providing feedback to children as necessary;

· Working constructively as part of a wider team in the classroom and the school; working flexibly to support other team members as required, and building positive relationships with staff and parents.

We are looking for someone with good literacy and numeracy skills, and you must have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at grade A to C.
