Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Band 3 Point 21 - Point 25
Required January 2019
18 hours 35 minutes per week, 39 weeks per year
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic HLTA to work alongside a Senior Teacher in the mornings, supporting pupils within the classroom and assisting with administrative tasks, such as putting up displays and preparing resources.
There will also be occasions when you will be required to cover the class for teacher.
During Monday afternoons, you will cover different classes across the school, rotated weekly, to provide release time for subject leaders.
The work pattern is: Monday: 8.40am - 12.00pm, 1.20pm - 3.15pm.
Tuesday - Friday: 8.40am - 12.00pm
The successful candidate will have the following:
A good standard of Maths and English as well as good spoken English
Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills
Expectations of high achievement and good behaviour
HLTA qualification or similar is desired but not essential
