An enthusiastic, efficient, organised team player is required to join our committed staff from September 2018. We are looking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant to support able students at the school, including the Sixth Form, who have a variety of challenging needs. The position is for 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Experience of working with visually impaired students or students with additional needs e.g. ASD is desirable but not essential. Excellent ICT skills are required to support students' learning.
This appointment will be for a fixed term contract linked to the student(s) being on roll at Colchester County High School for Girls.

Information about the School
Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust. It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted "Outstanding". Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students into the Sixth Form. The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site. Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
