Finance Officer
Required: as soon as possible
Band 4-mid/top (dependent on experience)
+ outer fringe allowance of £532 per annum
37 hours per week (term time plus 2 weeks summer holiday working)
Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.00pm &
Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised person to join our school, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer within our busy finance office. Duties include liaising with suppliers, maintaining and keeping up to date the contracts database, cash and cheque processing, banking, lettings, reconciliations (bank, VAT, payroll), monthly and annual pension returns, childcare voucher scheme administration, raising sales invoices, chasing debtor and supplier and asset databases maintenance.
Candidates will have proven experience in managing staff, working on their own initiative to tight deadlines, along with excellent computer, organisational and communication skills.
Previous experience of working in a school finance department is desirable and the ability to use PS Financials, Parentpay and SIMs would be preferable. Full training will be provided.
