Caretaker
Chelmsford Learning Partnership are looking to recruita caretaker to work at The Beaulieu Park School. The post-holder will report to the Premises Manager. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day maintenance, operational running and security/ supervision of the site and related equipment as part of the premises team.
Working Hours:a total of 37 hours per week for 52 weeks p.a.; start and end times vary depending upon the duties required. There will also be the requirement to facilitate evening and weekend lettings, on a rota basis for which overtime will be paid.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out minor building fabric repairs, adjustments, maintenance, installations and removals
Undertake and record weekly checks and record works carried out
Ensure all maintenance work is completed on time and to Health & Safety standards
Ensuring the site is well maintained and well presented at all times (Daily cleaning and litter picking and replacing consumables )
Manage site security, unlocking and locking of all doors, entries and exits - ensuring the site is secure but accessible at all times
Liaising with and monitoring the work of contractors including cleaner contractors
Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, customers and clients alike reporting any incident that may adversely affect service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in similar facility management and/or caretaking role preferable but not essential
Must work well as part of a team
Able plan and prioritise workloads to achieve objectives
Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team
Flexibility to assess and tackle a wide range of disciplines within skill sets
Salary scale: Local Government Pay Scale - Band 2 points 11 to 16 (range currently £ 15807 pa to £ 17,419 pa). The Board of Trustees is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.
The duties may be varied to meet the changing demands of the school at the reasonable discretion of the Principal.

Information about the School
The Beaulieu Park School is Essex’s first ‘All Through’ school and the primary phase opens for reception students in September 2018 with the secondary phase opening in September 2019. The Beaulieu Park School will welcome its first cohort of 60 reception aged children in two classes. In September 2019, 180 Year 7 students will be admitted. Year on year the school will grow, providing 420 places for local children between four and eleven years old by 2024 and 900 places for local children between 11 and 16 years old by 2023.
