Welfare Assistant - EHCP

based at; East Tilbury Primary School & Nursery

Princess Margaret Road, East Tilbury, RM18 8SB

Pay band 2 point 3-10 Fixed Term Until 31/8/2019

Actual starting salary £10,616-£11,333 per annum

8.45 am-3.15pm Monday-Friday, 27.05 hours per week. Term Time only

We wish to appoint a Welfare Assistant to assist the class teacher with the learning and inclusion of a reception child who has special educational or physical/medical needs.

You will work in partnership with the class teacher, to support learning in line with the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, codes of practice, school policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of child development and learning and would be willing to support children with both their physical and academic needs. There may also be a need to support with personal care. The ideal candidate should have experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, be caring and sensitive, work well in a team and have good literacy and numeracy skills.
