Band 2 pt 11-14 (£15, 807 - £16, 781 pro rata)
Contract type: Part-time permanent; possibility of flexible/negotiable working hours
Start date: 29th October 2018 (or sooner if possible)
We are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant for 20 hrs per week. The role will involve supporting a child with specific social, emotional and learning needs, individually and as part of the general class. Previous experience is desirable but not essential for the right person.
Due to the needs of the specific child the successful applicant will be calm and resilient in challenging circumstances. The applicant will show initiative and flexibility under the guidance of the class teachers and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and be able to maintain a positive attitude. Applicants will be patient and understand the professional nature of the role. The successful candidate should have GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent). This role will require positive handling (training will be provided as necessary).
