We are looking to appoint a competent and enthusiastic person to assist the IT Manager in supporting students and staff in all aspects of ICT to enhance the delivery of teaching and learning. A
You will be expected to:
- Operate relevant equipment/ICT packages (e.g. MS Office, internet, intranet, SIMS, e-mail)
- Promote the effective use of IT equipment to staff and pupils.
- Take primary responsibility for day-to-day problem resolution, including providing technical support and training for staff.
- Develop a maintenance schedule for all computer hardware, software and networks, and ensure that it is followed.
- Carry out troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and installation of IT equipment as necessary.
- Be Responsible for changing backup tapes and restoring data from backups using Vertis and backupassist.
- Keep up-to-date and provide support on the main software packages used within the Academy.
- Demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly, sometimes outside of normal core hours, in response to service demands as agreed with the Network Manager.
- Provide technical assistance with procurement of hardware and software.
- Be responsible for the Academy's CCTV system.
- Be responsible for maintaining the Academy's phone system.
- Ensure the correct disposal of damaged and un-repairable equipment.
- Ensure an up to date inventory is maintained.
- Comply with and assist with the development of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
- Undertake available training opportunities and demonstrate a commitment to continuous development.

There were four possible outcomes from this particular type of inspection and the Academy achieved the highest possible outcome i.e. 'The school remains good and there is sufficient evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school may be judged outstanding if it received a section 5 inspection now' - 2018 Ofsted Report.

Information about the School
EPAT is a cross-phase ‘Starter Trust’, providing high quality educational provision, standards and outcomes in local schools. It was formed on 1st February 2017, through a collaborative partnership between The Eastwood Academy (a secondary converter academy) and Bournemouth Park Primary School (a maintained primary school).

Bournemouth Park Academy is a rapidly improving non-selective primary school in Southend. In 2016, it was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and was ranked in the top 100 most improved primary schools in the country.
