We seek to appoint a Technician to assist teachers and students during Food Technology and Science lessons. To support groups of students to carry out the practical lesson as directed by teaching staff and to provide support to students to help achieve learning goals. To demonstrate basic skills to students as required by the teacher.

You will have:

An ability to use your initiative and sometimes work unsupervised.
Have a good standard of education and be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.
Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or be willing to complete the online qualification

The need to build relationships with children and to command their respect is essential, as is the ability to adapt to different classroom environments and be able to 'think on your feet' at times. Flexibility and reliability are essential qualifications, including a working knowledge of ICT. Full training will be given.
