TEACHER OF ART (MATERNITY COVER)

MPR (0.60)

Required from October 2018 a part time Teacher of Art, to cover a colleague on maternity leave. The 'Outstanding' Art Department is well resourced and produces ambitious work; with a high take up at GCSE and 6th Form. Work at Key Stage 3 is based on the teaching of Formal Elements through a range of two and three dimensional media. Confidence in teaching constructed sculpture and familiarity with materials and processes for textiles would be an advantage.

The Art Department achieved GCSE 44% A*/A, 85% A*-C ALPS score 4, A Level 63% A*-B ALPS score 4, IBH 100% 5+ IBS 100% 5+

All members of staff working at the school support the aims and ethos of the school and participate in the extensive visits programme.
