We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic, and committed teacher of mathematics to join our forward-thinking faculty. You will share our vision which is centred upon building our students' confidence and engagement in mathematics through a mastery curriculum at KS3 and a personalised approach to provision at KS4 and KS5.
The ideal candidate will:
Be an excellent Maths teacher, with the skill to develop conceptual understanding across a range of ages and abilities;
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support our faculty pedagogy;
Have the ability to engage pupils and build excellent relationships;
Be committed to their own continuing professional development.
We would welcome applications from both Newly Qualified and experienced teachers alike. The mathematics faculty has a strong track record in the successful support of NQTs.
We place a high value on continued professional development and a wide range of subject-specific training and research opportunities are available through our work with the NCETM, MEI and FMSP.
At Tendring Technology College ('TTC') we are an extremely forward-thinking and motivated department. Students benefit from 4 hours of Mathematics teaching per week from year 8. We deliver a mastery curriculum to all students at KS3. Our vision is that every student is well prepared for KS4 with a solid conceptual understanding of all strands of mathematics. There is a specific focus on reasoning mathematically to meet the demands of the 9 - 1 GCSE. All students complete GCSE Mathematics at the end of year 11 and we have proudly celebrated our students' considerable success in the first sitting of the new specification last summer.

Tendring Technology College (TTC) serves a wide catchment area in the Tendring District that is a mix of rural and coastal environment with easy access to the vibrant town of Colchester with London Liverpool Street a straightforward train journey. TTC is unique in that it is a split site College with approximately 1900 students. The Thorpe campus is dedicated to our Key Stage 3 students and nearly 5 miles away is the Frinton campus for our Key Stage 4 and 5 students.
