There are no unwieldy and impossible marking policies, departments are trusted to develop the methods of providing feedback that best suits their subjects. This ranges from whole class feedback sheets to target code marking. The policy is simple and in essence is just that feedback must be regular, timely and most importantly lead to students acting upon the teacher's suggestions.
Your career development is a priority and we will provide you with opportunities to work on whole school priorities and gain the experience required to progress into middle or senior leadership. Additionally, we offer support for middle leaders wishing to apply to become Specialist Leaders of Education. Student behaviour is excellent and is supported by same-day whole-school sanctions where necessary, and senior leaders have a high profile to ensure that you are supported to develop. This year we have introduced centralised detentions run by the leadership team to ensure your time is spent on planning really good lessons rather than running detentions.

Information about the School
Greensward Academy is an 11-19 comprehensive academy based in Hockley in Essex. It is part of the Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), a multi-academy sponsor which aims to provide the opportunity for all young learners to fulfil their real potential. The academy is graded Good by Ofsted and its results are strong, particularly in the Sixth Form which is in the top 3% nationally and top in Essex according to DfE Post 16 Performance Tables.
