Due to the well-earned retirement of our current Cleaner-in-Charge, we are looking for someone with good DIY skills, excellent self-organisation and an enthusiasm to try their hand at pretty much anything (except teaching - we won't ask you to take a class)! You will be responsible for keeping our 3 class school clean and well maintained; for maintaining site security, including key holder responsibility;for ensuring we are health and safety compliant and for overseeing contractors. The hours and start date can be flexible, but 7am - 9am and 4pm-6pm are the hours currently in place, and we would like you to start as soon as possible.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and a team player
- A good communicator
- Self motivated, organised and able to manage own workload
- Excellent at DIY and general maintenance
- Experienced and knowledgeable about health and safety regulations and procedures, or willing to undertake training
- Able to take pride in the appearance and condition of our school, both internally and externally
- Flexible and adaptable
- Able and prepared to work some unsociable hours (including occasional alarm call outs)
