Following the retirement of our current SENDCo, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate SENDCo to work 2 days per week, starting in September 2018. The successful candidate will be supported by an admin assistant who works 1.5 days per week.
Doddinghurst Junior School provides a calm and happy environment which enables children to learn and teachers to teach. We are looking for an inspiring SENDCo who is passionate about children and expect the highest possible standards whilst supporting them to achieve their full potential. Our new SENDCo will join a committed and hardworking team who strive to provide the best education and outcomes for all children.
Previous SENDCo experience is preferable, the candidateshould have a teaching qualification and SENDCo Accreditation.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a secure knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice
- Ensure that support for SEND pupils enables them to achieve their full potential
- Demonstrate a sensitive and caring approach to your work
- Have strong communication skills
- Be able to take a strong lead in the area of SEN across the school
