Following the expansion of our Multi Academy Trust, the Chelmsford Learning Partnership (formerly The Boswells Academy Trust) is looking to appoint a Clerk to the Board of Trustees. The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is an emerging Multi-Academy Trust based in Springfield, Chelmsford. The Trust currently consists of one strong secondary school and one new, all through school (due to open in September 2018). 4 local primary schools and a large secondary school in Essex will also be joining the trust in the Summer Term of 2018.
We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to provide professional clerking services to our Board of Trustees. The role will include providing advice to the trustees on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and provide effective administrative support
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work independently whilst, at the same time, be able to form effective relationships with trustees and school staff. This post will work on a flexible basis so the successful candidate must be able to organise their own time and work to strict deadlines. A knowledge of multi academy trust and governing body procedures and previous experience in a similar role is essential.
The salary for this role is £9.21ph, the hours are on a flexible basis of around 5 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year and the salary will be £17,772 pro rata (LGS Band 3, point 17).
