An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Downs Primary School and Nursery in Harlow. We are looking to appoint an innovative, inspirational and ambitious Headteacher to lead, shape and build upon our success and direction that we are proud of so far.
The Downs is a vibrant, inclusive and successful school with a friendly and capable staff team. With the support of an effective and forward thinking Governing Body, we are seeking someone that will promote a relentless focus on the quality of education, drive the school to achieve its goals and aspirations as part of its strategic direction, whilst maintaining the friendly and inclusive feel of the school.
The school will be 2 form entry across all year groups from the 1 September 2018, and has completed its building expansion, which has provided an excellent modern learning environment for a large primary school.
This appointment comes at a time when the school is going through the process of becoming part of the Passmores Co-operative Learning Community (PCLC), which is an exciting time for the school, providing opportunity for the successful candidate to shape and use the additional support that being part of a local MAT can bring.
